How to Replace Kitchen Faucet easily

A house will be perfect when a kitchen is in good shape in every aspect. There are lots of things are needed to make a kitchen perfect. When you will find all the necessary things while doing some task in the kitchen, then the kitchen makes a lot of meanings to you.

But there is one thing you must need in a perfect kitchen and that is a faucet. Maybe you can run a kitchen without other tools but cannot do anything without the faucet.

The 14 Steps to Replace Kitchen Faucet

If you do not know how to replace kitchen faucet, then read the information we are going to describe. It’s not a hard job for anyone to replace a faucet.

You just need the step and some basic knowledge about it. Let’s discuss the process step by step. Then you will find yourself as a master for faucet replacement.

#1. Identifying

Before you replace your kitchen faucet you have to identify types of your faucet because there is the standard model, the touchless model is available for the faucet.

According to the faucet type, replacement process going to be different. If you are sure about that, the types you are using is confirmed according to your knowledge then go to the next step.

There is some hole are available which previously used for mounting sprayer and faucet. Find out how many holes are used especially for the faucet.

#.2 Shut and uninstall

Now you have to disconnect connection or shut the water using the valves. May there are two lines. One is for hot water and another is cold water. You need to shut down both lines. Ensure that there is no water coming out through the faucet.

It’s time to uninstall the faucet component. There are some placing nuts used for the mounting. Take it out and all the component will come out.

#3. Retaining bracket and Sprayer base

Look for a retaining bracket. If you find out, then remove it. You can remove it using just your figure. There are no tools required to remove it. There is also a plastic nut you will find which is holding the sprayer base.

You also need to take the sprayer base out. For this, the plastic nut is important to remove first.

#4. Remove sprayer and base pin

Take the sprayer and turn it counterclockwise. To disconnect the sprayer from the base, it’s necessary. After taking off the base there is a base pin you will see. Take this pin out. For this, you need pliers.

#5. Hose and sink

Now take the hose. There are some components which need to be taken off. As an example, we can say that the sprayer base and the sprayer mount. Now take out the hose from the sink. For that, you have to push the hose from above. It will help you to take it off from the below.

#6. Supply line

It’s time to take the supply line out. If you turn the nut counterclockwise using some wrench or pliers than the line will be apart. It is important to unhook the line. You can wrap a towel on the line because there is maybe some trapped water inside the line.

#7. The old faucet

You are free to take the old faucet out. There is no more line or mounting nut or pipe connected to the faucet. If you pull it, then the faucet will come out easily. Now the sink is free to install a new one.

#8. Find and set a new one

But keep it in mind that you need to choose that faucet which will be adjusted with existing holes and number of holes. Because making a new hole in sink is time killing and need some skills and tools as well.

Now set the new faucet using the hole in the sink. If there are two holes than leave one for the sprayer.

#9. Mount the faucet

After placing the faucet there is some mounting hardware you will find which are coming with the new faucet. From the under of the sink secure the faucet using the mounting kit.

#10. Adjustment

Now you need to tighten up the mountain bracket. For this, you need a screwdriver and some screw. It will make the line strong enough.

#11. Supply line and mount sprayer

Now attached the supply line. This line is connected to the valves. Make sure the water line is still turned off. To do this you need an adjustable wrench.

If you are thinking that the connection is not secure then use an anti-leaking tape. Now mount the sprayer on the top of the sink. You need to unscrew the nut before placing it.

#12. Attach sprayer mount and head

there is a retaining nut which is used for mounting the sprayer on the bottom side. You need to lead the line through the sink is mounted.

#13. Connection

Under the sink, there is a connector called a quick connector. You need to line it up with the supply line. Now push it gently. You will hear a sound which indicates the secure connection.

#14. Preparation

There are aerator and sprayer head which need to be taken out which is essential for the smooth water supply. The valves need to be turned on, which are turned off starting of the replacement process. Your faucet is ready to serve.
